The British Youth Council is supporting a youth led approach to promoting positive images for young people. 

Within this group, we hope to:

• Improve the public perception of young people in the media
• Have readier access to voices representing the views and experiences of young people
• Increase the number of positive press releases about young people
• Support the recognition and celebration of young people’s achievements
• Train young people in how to deal with the media

You need to have been or would like to be representative of your peers to the media. This opportunity would suit those that are currently supported by local or national youth organisations, including local authorities. You need to be prepared to be filmed throughout the day, as well as take part in a creative activity.

We anticipate that this event will be heavily subscribed and so it will be application based. There will be more media training opportunities available throughout the year.

If you have been successful with your application, we will write to you with joining instructions three weeks before the event.
